Lamar Jackson Says He Did ‘a Lot of Cursing’ at Halftime to Spur Ravens to Playoff Win

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens took care of business at home on Saturday, taking down the Houston Texans 34–10 to punch their ticket to the AFC title game next week.

Jackson was a superstar the whole game, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for two more, and putting up a specific stat line that was literally unprecedented in NFL history. The likely NFL MVP certainly looked like it on the field.

While the game looked like a pretty easy blowout by the final score, things were tight early, with the teams entering halftime knotted 10–10. But in the second half, the Ravens scored 24 points unanswered, and ultimately cruised to victory.

Lamar Jackson had four total touchdowns during the Baltimore Ravens’ playoff win against the Houston Texans.

After the game, Jackson said that during halftime, he did most of the talking, and offered some words of encouragement to his team.

“A lot of cursing at halftime. It would be inappropriate if I said it right here,” Jackson told reporters. “We wasn’t really doing anything to that defense. They were playing great, the offense was playing great as well, but we wasn’t doing our job with our unit. In the second half, we went to put points on the board, started moving the ball, moving the chains. Started looking like ourselves.”

With the win, the Ravens will now sit back, relax, and watch Sunday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, the winner of which will head to Baltimore for the AFC championship next week.
