LAKE LAS VEGAS -- The two best tight ends in the NFL will play in the Super Bowl this Sunday, and they're extremely different.

George Kittle is a classic in-line tight end. He almost always lines up in a three-point stance next to an offensive tackle, and he's an elite blocker. He's also a excellent picking up yards after the catch. But when it comes to running routes, Kittle isn't necessarily elite.

As opposed to Kelce, who's one of the best route runners in the NFL regardless of position. Frankly, Kelce isn't much a tight end -- he hardly blocks. He's a receiver, and one of the best of all time.

On Wednesday, I asked Kittle to explain the similarities and differences between him and Kelce. Here's what Kittle said.

KITTLE: "I know Travis pretty well. Known each other since 2018. As a guy, I have zero bad things to say about him. He has been nothing but completely kind to me and my family. Very generous with his time. Me and family, we have a podcast, and he flew in to Nashville just to record with us, just for fun, just to see my place. He's good friends with my dad. He's very respectful. The fact that he went out of his way to do that means a lot to me and my family. And then as tight ends, I think we both have a pretty similar mentalities. We have a standard for ourselves. We want to play at a very high level. I think we both love the game of football. We both love our teammates. We both like to make big plays. We both like touchdowns. Differences -- I think we both play tight end, but we play it a very different way. It works for both of us because of the way our offenses are."
