The offensive line is simply offensive.

SANTA CLARA -- Here's who stood out Day 14 of 49ers training camp 2023.

THE GOOD

1. SS Talanoa Hufanga.

Undercut a quick out route while covering tight end Troy Fumagalli, intercepted a soft pass from Brock Purdy and returned the interception for a touchdown. This was the fourth time a safety has recorded a pick-six against Purdy in camp. The other safety is Tashaun Gipson, who has three pick-sixes.

2. DE Clelin Ferrell.

Beat starting right tackle Colton McKivitz for two sacks during 11 on 11s. McKivitz is a subpar starting offensive tackle, so beating him isn't a huge accomplishment. But Ferrell clearly is the second best defensive end on the team after Nick Bosa, who still hasn't shown up to training camp or the preseason.

3. DT Javon Hargrave.

Beat starting left guard Aaron Banks for a sack during 11 on 11s.

4. DT Javon Kinlaw.

Beat starting left guard Aaron Banks for a tackle-for-loss on a run play during 11-on-11s. Kinlaw was coming off a terrible preseason performance and seemed extra motivated to perform today.

6. DE Austin Bryant.

Beat backup tight end Cameron Latu for a sack during 11 on 11s. Good to see Kyle Shanahan still asking backup tight ends to block edge rushers. That worked out so well the last time in the NFC Championship.

7. TE Cameron Latu.

Actually caught a pass during 11 on 11s. And it was a 20-yard gain. If he keeps this up, he just might catch five passes in 20 days of training camp.

8. SS Ji'Ayir Brown.

Blitzed during 11 on 11s and sacked Sam Darnold. Brown hasn't made many plays in coverage during camp, but he's starting to make plays in the backfield, which is good.

THE NOT SO GOOD

1. The offensive line.

This is the worst unit on the team. Today, the offensive line gave up a whopping 9 sacks and 6 tackles for loss. If this were a real game, all three quarterbacks would have spent most of the time on the ground, and the running backs wouldn't have performed much better. When will the 49ers learn that offensive line and quarterback are the two most important positions on offense and not places where it's smart to spend frugally and save money.

2. K Jake Moody.

Made four of five field goals in practice, which is good, but not as good as Robbie Gould, who's still a free agent.

3. WR Deebo Samuel.

Dropped a screen pass that hit him in the chest. Never change, Deebo.

4. CB Deommodore Lenoir.

Dropped an interception that hit him in the chest and tipped the ball to Deebo Samuel, who made the catch. So at least Samuel redeemed himself.
