3 Things We Learned From San Francisco 49ers 51-13 Win vs. Panthers

Who could have foresaw the San Francisco 49ers starting out the 2019 regular season at 7-0? This team just continues to roll the opposition and further establish themselves as one of the best groups in the league. Every game this season has pretty much been a beat down by the 49ers.

Just ask the Carolina Panthers who were completely demolished. 49ers sealed a week eight 51-13 victory over the Panthers. This is just another stepping stone for them to reach their goal of the Super Bowl. With that said, here are three things we learned from the San Francisco 49ers latest win.

49ers are Super Bowl contenders

The San Francisco 49ers have been questioned as to whether or not they are legitimate. That mainly derives from the fact that they haven't really played many strong opponents. Well starting out 7-0 is not an easy accomplishment, especially since the 49ers have been without so many key players.

The fact that they have played at such a high-level for a seven game stretch just proves that they are Super Bowl contenders. It really is hard to dispute that and the narrative that they "haven't played anyone" doesn't hold weight. That just proves who is actually watching the games as opposed to looking at the box scores.

Anyone who has seen the San Francisco 49ers in action knows that they have talent all over. Not only do they have the talent, but they have the coaches who can optimize it. There isn't just one facet of the 49ers that is playing well, it is everyone. Complimentary football is the epitome of the 49ers in 2019. At the rate this team is going they are bound to be a No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Coach of the Year Award is Kyle Shanahan's to lose

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote an article that Kyle Shanahan is an early candidate for Coach of the year award. Fast forward to a week eight victory over the Carolina Panthers and the award is now his to lose. There really isn't a close second when it comes to this award.

The 49ers have arrived from the dumpster and are standing tall in the winner's circle. Give a lot of the credit for the turnaround to Kyle Shanahan who had a clear vision of how he wanted to build this team. With the help of general manager John Lynch, they were able to get the ideal personnel on both sides of the ball to operate their system's optimally.

Now that they have the talent, we are seeing how stellar Shanahan's offense truly is. The players are able to execute is plays profoundly. Even without both starting offensive tackles and key player Kyle Juszczyk, Shanahan is managing fine without them. The offense has not skipped a beat and that is all due to his system. Kyle Shanahan is a big reason why this team is 7-0. The Coach of the Year award is his to lose.

Forget Rookie of the Year, Nick Bosa is coming for Defensive Player of the Year

As the season has progressed, Nick Bosa has elevated his gameplay to another level in each and every game. Bosa tallied three sacks and his first career interception against the Panthers.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, Nick Bosa is the first player with 3 sacks and an interception in a single game since Chris Jones of the Chiefs did so in Week 2 of 2017. Bosa is also the first 49er player to accomplish this feat since sacks became an official stat in 1982.

Kyle Allen is sure to have nightmares of Bosa on the plane ride home to the east coast. Bosa has been nothing short of elite. He isn't just elite for a rookie, he is elite in general. That is why he is a legitimate contender for the Defensive Player of the Year award, not just the rookie award.

Bosa is phenomenal in both the run and pass game. He pretty much is a human wrecking ball that offensive tackles dread going up against. We had been waiting for him to have his breakout game and it finally happened today. After today's performance, Nick Bosa is definitely a candidate for Defensive Player of the Year.
