49ers Division Rival Rams are Trading Away Jalen Ramsey

In this story:
The NFC West just gets better and better for the San Francisco 49ers.
Former All Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey is being trading from the Los Angeles Rams to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a third-round pick along with tight end Hunter Long, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Trade is now agreed to, per sources:

Ramsey now joins linebacker Bobby Wagner as another All Pro caliber defender to exit from the Rams. It looks like the Rams are just trying to get under the salary cap with these two moves. Trading away Ramsey confirms that as they get very little in return for a fairly elite cornerback, especially after the Rams gave up multiple first-round picks for Ramsey back in 2019. When you're desperate for a salary dump like the Rams, you'll accept any trade like they did for Ramsey.
The 49ers will no longer have to deal with Ramsey, who actually wasn't really too much of a factor against them. Given that the 49ers are predominantly a run and quick pass team, it made facing Ramsey a non factor. Where Ramsey really was a factor was the off the field beefs he had or the little scrums on the field. Players like Brandon Aiyuk and Robbie Gould would get into it all the time with him.
But the most memorable will always be with Deebo Samuel in Week 4. On a magnificent 57 yard touchdown reception in the second quarter, Samuel had easily juked and brushed off contact from Ramsey. That is when Samuel turned that run into a highlight meme to poke fun at Ramsey's attempt. It was quite hysterical to say the least and one that will always be remembered.

While Ramsey didn't have a heavy influence against the 49ers, he still helped the Rams in a major way that factored into wins. Now the Rams continue to weaken and that will only benefit the 49ers when the regular season commences.
