49ers Division Rival Rams Continue Their Fire Sale

In this story:
The 49ers can only smile and laugh at this point.
Another player is being traded away by the Rams as they continue their fire sale. This time around it is wide receiver Allen Robinson. Los Angeles is sending him and a seventh-round pick to the Steelers for their seventh-round pick. The Rams are also eating $10.25 million of Robinson's contract.
Full terms: The #Rams send Allen Robinson and a 2023 seventh-round pick (No. 251) to the #Steelers for a 2023 seventh-round pick (No. 234).

Pittsburgh picks up $5 million of Robinson's 2023 compensation, with L.A. paying the other $10.25M. https://t.co/eJpSdRZkp1
So basically the Rams sent Robinson away for a seventh-round pick swap with the Steelers. To make matters worse, the Steelers are making the Rams take on the majority of his salary. It just shows how Robinson has no value. He was a major failed signing by the Rams last year. The only impact he had was a negative one that he leaves on the Rams' salary cap.
Robinson tallied 33 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns on the season. To call him mediocre would be an understatement. Against the 49ers in both matchups, he totaled seven catches for 61 yards. Robinson being traded away has zero impact on the 49ers as he was never a threat and was never going to be one. If anything, the 49ers should thank him and the Rams' delusion in thinking he was actually going to be impactful.
Despite Robinson being a nonfactor against the 49ers, it is just another indicator of where the Rams are going to be at in 2023. The NFC West is the 49ers' division to lose. Trading Robinson is surely not going to be the last fire sale move that the Rams conduct. A full on rebuild year will play out the rest of the way as the Rams fade into irrelevancy.
