The trade deadline for the 2019 NFL season has officially come and gone. Teams must now wait until March 18, 2020 to start having trade talks again. For the San Francisco 49ers, they did not make any additional trades following their acquisition of wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

Whenever the trade deadline nears, teams tend to inquire about players on the trade block. Sometimes teams will even make a desperation trade due to pressing needs. Today, however, was a very quite day outside of the Rams' trade of Aqib Talib to the Dolphins.

There was no news of the 49ers being interested or inquiring about any players today, however the 49ers rightfully stand pat at the trade deadline.

This team does not have many holes nor any glaring needs. At least not ones that they can immediately address via trade. San Francisco is an elite team that does not need any alterations. What they have done so far this season with the group of players that they have is more than enough.

Even the trade for Emmanuel Sanders was not a pressing need and they were able to acquire him for a fair price. Remember, any holes or deficiencies on this team will be alleviated once they get their key players back from injury.

That right there is their "acquisition" you could say. Operating th offense will be much easier for Kyle Shanahan once he gets both starting offensive tackels back and Kyle Juszczyk. There is also Ahkello Witherspoon who is nearing a return to the field as well.

And there is still players that they can activate off injured reserve soon if they want to add more depth. The 49ers made the right choice to have stand pat at the trade deadline. Their one trade for Sanders was more than enough to make an improvement on the team by addressing their weakest position.
