49ers sign OL Jaryd Jones-Smith and CB Teez Tabor to the practice squad

The San Francisco 49ers have officially made a couple of transactions today. Offensive lineman Jaryd Jones-Smith and cornerback Teez Tabor have been signed to the team's practice squad.
In a corresponding move, the 49ers have released offensive lineman Will Holden and offensive lineman Ryan Pope.
The two signings of Jones-Smith and Tabor are nothing new since they have been reported already. Today's transaction just cements their additions to the 49ers.
Teez Tabor's signing to the team, however, is interesting because it could likely be a sign that the 49ers are content with their players at cornerback.
Ahkello Witherspoon is expected to miss the next few weeks, so there has been many toss ups about whether the 49ers needed to make a move.
Well they did and it is in the form of Teez Tabor. A former 53rd overall pick in the 2017 draft of the Detroit Lions. Tabor could be a diamond hidden in the rough since he really hasn't tapped into his potential.
Or he is probably just a holdover signing in case the 49ers lose another cornerback to injury. Whatever the case may be, I think it is safe to say the 49ers will not be adding a big time cornerback.
