The latest San Francisco 49ers practice report shows that tight end George Kittle has been downgraded as doubtful for Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks. Kittle has not participated in any of the practices this week due to a knee and ankle injury.

These injuries he sustained occurred in the game against the Arizona Cardinals in week nine. Though they are relatively minor, it is enough to most likely keep him out of the much anticipated matchup on Monday night. Losing Kittle for this game is a blow to the 49ers' offense, but it isn't as bad as you might think.

The Seahawks' defense is one of the worst in the league with their pass rush practically non-existent. San Francisco should not have many issues facing them even without Kittle. There will be a drop-off for the 49ers, but his loss will be softened thanks to the emergence of backup Ross Dwelley.

Dwelley stepped up in a major way against the Cardinals when it initially looked as if Kittle was going to miss the rest of the game. He caught the game clinching pass from Jimmy Garoppolo on the final play of the game, so he showed that he is capable of producing. Dwelley has been solid in run and pass blocking as well, which is arguably the biggest loss with Kittle likely being inactive.

Don't forget that the 49ers are recovering all of their key injured players from early in the season. Both starting offensive tackles look to be in line for their return, as well as fullback Kyle Juszczyk. Having these players returning on the field significantly eases the loss of Kittle. The 49ers should still be able to have their way with Seattle's defense. It'll take more than losing one player to slow this team down.
