DK Metcalf: Devon Witherspoon 'Will Get the Best' of Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati takes on Seattle at 1 p.m. ET this Sunday.

CINCINNATI — Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf added a little spice to Sunday's matchup against Cincinnati. Metcalf noted Ja'Marr Chase's historic performance this past weekend but is confident his rookie teammate, cornerback Devon Witherspoon, will keep him in check.

“He’s just a great receiver," Metcalf said about the 15-catch performance against Arizona. "Tip my hat off to him with what he’s done the first 3 years in the league. It’ll be fun to watch Sunday, but I think Spoon will get the best of him.”

Witherspoon's (79.2 PFF grade) played very well to start his career, but it's not a lock he'll even cover Chase for the majority of the game. He's played a majority of his snaps this season on the left side, with 142 snaps on that side to 60 in the slot.

Expect a mix of Witherspoon and Tariq Woolen (67.7 PFF grade) on Chase.
