ESPN Names Seahawks Tight End Noah Fant as Bengals Top Free Agent Fit

Cincinnati has no players signed in that position room as of this writing.

CINCINNATI — Aaron Schatz dropped his top free agent fits for all 32 teams this week on ESPN and has former Seahawks tight end as a nice option for the Bengals.

PFF projects Fant to sign a three-year $8 million deal in free agency with $14.5 million guaranteed.

"Fant has never quite lived up to expectations as a first-rounder, but that's more an issue of usage than efficiency," Schatz wrote. "Fant has put up positive DYAR in all five of his NFL seasons, and he ranked ninth among qualifying tight ends in receiving DVOA this past season. Every tight end on the Bengals' roster is a free agent, so they'll need to address the position in free agency and the draft. Imagine what quarterback Joe Burrow could get out of Fant's first-round talent."

Fant's flashed plenty of potential amidst shaky QB play during his career. He posted 32 catches for 414 yards and no touchdowns this past season.
