Detroit Lions Pick Jahmyr Gibbs With 12th Pick in 2023 NFL Draft

He was a possible target for the Bengals at pick 28.

CINCINNATI — Jahmyr Gibbs is headed to Detroit. 

The Alabama star running back was picked by the Lions with the 12th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday night. 

Gibbs was a potential target for the Bengals with the 28th pick and the guy I mocked to Cincinnati earlier this week. 

Instead, he's headed to the NFC North. This is one of the most surprising picks of the draft. 

Look for the Bengals to target cornerback or defensive line with the 28th overall selection.
