Steelers Rule Out Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph to Start Against Bengals

Cincinnati is hoping to with their fourth-straight game.

CINCINNATI — Mason Rudolph will start at quarterback for the Steelers on Saturday against the Bengals. Mike Tomlin officially ruled out starter Kenny Pickett, who is still recovering from ankle surgery. 

Rudolph, 28, completed 2-of-3 passes for three yards in Week 15 against the Colts. He's 5-4 as a starting quarterback and has appeared in 18 career games. The veteran is 2-0 as a starter against the Bengals with both wins coming during the 2019 season.

Rudolph has thrown for 2,369 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in his six-year career.

The Steelers enter Saturday's matchup with a 7-7 record. The Bengals are 8-6. Both teams need to win if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.
