Steelers Sign Key Pass Rusher to Long-Term Extension

CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow and the Bengals are expecting the offensive line to be even better this season. It's going to have to be since Cincinnati plays in an AFC North division that's loaded with pass rushers.
The Steelers continued that trend on Wednesday when they signed Alex Highsmith to a four-year, $68 million extension according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
He becomes a top-10 paid edge rusher after tallying 14.5 sacks last season.
It also means that the Bengals will have to deal star pass rushers like Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Za'Darius Smith and Highsmith in the AFC North for the foreseeable future.
Cincinnati is hoping to win the division for a third-straight season. No team has won 3-straight division titles since the AFC North was created in 2022.
