Bills' Damar Hamlin Reveals LeBron James Support, 'Perspective' from Bronny Incident

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin commented on Bronny James' health scare at USC while reflecting on the love he's received from LeBron and family.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin has made an incredible return to the football field, and even began practicing in pads on Monday despite seeing it all flash before his eyes over six months ago.

Football stopped for Hamlin as the sport almost took his life, and now he's back to the field. However, another big sports name experienced a similar scare recently, as USC basketball freshman Bronny James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, suffered cardiac arrest at a practice.

Fortunately, help was around for James, who was quickly treated and transferred to a hospital. Hamlin, obviously having suffered from cardiac arrest himself, was able to provide support after the situation.

"Honestly, a super big reminder," Hamlin said at training camp on Monday. "It put everything back in perspective for me. But prayers out to [James] and prayers out to his family."

Since making a full recovery to the football field with the Bills, Hamlin has been a big advocate and voice of awareness for cardiac arrest for trainings and measures to take when dealing with such an incident. He also revealed how LeBron and the James family have supported his endeavors throughout the process.

"They've been really big and supportive in reaching out to my family as well. So, I just want to be able to extend that back to them," Hamlin said. "And I wanted to let him know I'll be there for whatever he needs on his journey as far as his recovery and getting back to his sport if that's what he chooses to do."

James is heading into his freshman year at USC, where he and his star-studded team are set to make waves in the college basketball world.

For James, Hamlin can be a beacon of light, as he's been through the entirety of the recovery process, but that wasn't without difficult decisions on a potential return.

"I made a decision. My family, my mom and my dad they were behind me, which either way I want to go playing or not," Hamlin said. "So, if this is the decision we're going to make, we're going to go with it and keep going. So, I made my decision, so I'm living with it."
