As the 2023 NFL offseason begins, the Buffalo Bills and 31 other teams attempt to improve their rosters through all avenues possible. April's NFL Draft will provide organizations with the opportunity to build from within, while the free agency period gives teams a chance to sign experienced veterans to either add depth or find a bonafide starter.

Pro Football Talk ranked the top 100 free agents entering the 2023 offseason, and it's no surprise that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson tops the list. Even with the ongoing public negotiations between the player and the organization, many teams are pining for the services of Jackson, who will most likely be franchise tagged.

But the Bills also have two free agents on the list.

26. Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds

Edmunds is coming off his rookie deal and looking for a big payday. The Bills' first-round (No. 16 overall) pick from the 2018 NFL Draft, Edmunds has compiled 565 tackles in 74 career games with Buffalo.

The Virginia Tech product has also registered five career interceptions, 32 tackles for loss and 18 quarterback hits. He's also added a safety to his stat sheet.

Spotrac projects Edmunds will earn $11 million annually with his next contract, possibly signing a four-year deal in free agency worth $44,035,543 as the seventh-ranked inside linebacker in free agency.

40. Bills S Jordan Poyer

After spending time early in his career with the Cleveland and Philadelphia Eagles, Poyer just completed his sixth season with the Bills. The former seventh-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft has registered 706 tackles, eight forced fumbles, and 11 sacks in 139 career games.

Last season, Poyer played in 12 games for the Bills tallying 63 tackles, one forced fumble, and four interceptions. He played through a torn meniscus during the later stages of the season.

Spotrac projects Poyer will earn $11 million annually, predicting a three-year deal worth $33,069,084 for his next deal. They also have Poyer ranked as the No. 5 free safety in this free agency class.
