'Total Fanboy!': Bills QB Josh Allen Watches Tiger Woods at Masters

"I blacked out - total fanboy," Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen said of meeting Tiger Woods - who he's watching this week at The Masters.

By now, it's no secret that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a golf enthusiast.

From playing in "The Match" last summer alongside Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes to skipping the Pro Bowl for a pro-am, Allen has made his rounds on the course.

And now, for the fifth time, he's in Augusta, Ga., for The Masters, arguably the biggest week on the golfing calendar ... and Allen's "favorite".

The 26-year-old Allen, who's set to watch the tournament all weekend before playing Monday, is a noted fan of Tiger Woods - to the extent that he had a "fanboy" moment upon meeting Woods earlier this year.

"There's two athletes that when I watch them, I felt like my heart beat quicker and I was nervous for them in those stressful moment - it was (Woods) and Kobe Bryant," Allen said on ESPN. "I actually got the chance to meet Tiger in Riveria for the Genesis and I blacked out - total fanboy."

Woods shot a two-over-par 74 in the first round of The Masters and has his work cut out for him in the coming days, but for Allen, the "vibes" and "excitement" of Augusta override all on-course results.

"It's surreal every time I step in here," Allen said.

This trip is particularly special for Buffalo's now-sixth-year signal caller, as he brought his dad and brother to the tournament for the first time, dubbing it a "pretty special moment."

Allen, who's not blaming the golf handicap situation for his score, shared that he shot a 90 in his round last year but feels his swing is "in a better spot."

Now, he's set his sights on a specific goal in his second round at Augusta National ...

"This year, if I can shoot mid-to-low 80s, I'll be feeling good," Allen said.

But regardless, Allen is soaking in the experience of his favorite week while watching an athlete in Woods who he's long idolized - creating "special" memories before returning to Buffalo for the start of offseason programs later this month.
