Bills Sign Former Chiefs Safety Mike Edwards in Free Agency
The Buffalo Bills have signed safety Mike Edwards to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
Edwards, 27, spent the 2023 season with the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran safety appeared in all 17 games and started five of them, recording 51 total tackles, five passes defended and one interception. He also recovered two fumbles, one of which he ran back for a 97-yard touchdown.

Before that, Edwards spent the first four seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who selected him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. His best season with the Buccaneers came in 2022, when he started 12 of the 13 games he appeared in while recording 82 total tackles and two interceptions.
Edwards also has two Super Bowls to his name, winning Super Bowl LV with Tampa Bay and Super Bowl LVIII with Kansas City.
The Cincinnati native seems to bring good luck to his teams, and with the Bills looking to finally get over the hump, they're hopeful Edwards can work his magic once again.
