Bills BREAKING: Buffalo Signing WR Curtis Samuel

The Buffalo Bills added another weapon for quarterback Josh Allen in free agency by signing receiver Curtis Samuel.

The Buffalo Bills are committed to getting quarterback Josh Allen more help, and for the second straight day in free agency, they added another weapon for their franchise quarterback.

The Bills are signing receiver Curtis Samuel to a three-year, $30 million deal with $15 million guaranteed, per his agency Athletes First on Instagram. Samuel previously played for the Washington Commanders (2021-2023) and the Carolina Panthers (2017-2020).

Dec 17, 2023; Inglewood, California, USA; Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel (4) catches a touchdown pass in the second half against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.

Samuel struggled in his first season in Washington, as he only appeared in five games due to an injury. He only had six catches for 27 yards in 2021. In his final two seasons, Samuel rebounded to have over 600 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 2022 and 2023.

Samuel had 64 catches for 656 yards and four touchdowns in 2022, and last season, he caught 62 passes for 613 yards and reached the end zone four times. Samuel is also a threat on the ground, as he ran for 187 yards and a touchdown in 2022. He wasn't as productive in the running game last season, as he only ran for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Samuel joins Mack Hollins, who signed a one-year deal with the Bills on Wednesday. Buffalo lost receiver, Gabe Davis, in free agency after he signed a three-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While Samuel and Hollins will provide a boost to the Bills' receiving room, it remains to be seen if they'll look to improve that unit through the draft. With the No. 28 overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the signings of Samuel and Hollins shouldn't put drafting a receiver out of the question for Buffalo.
