Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs Fined For 'Stone Cold' TD Celebration

Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs was one of three players fined on Saturday after his beer-soaked touchdown inspired by wrestling star Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Those who call the NFL the "No Fun League" got some more ammo with the latest round of fines on Sunday.

During the Buffalo Bills' Week 4 win over the Miami Dolphins, receiver Stefon Diggs went to the crowd to celebrate his first of three touchdowns in a dominant performance. To celebrate his score, Diggs grabbed a pair of beers and smashed them together in a showing inspired by wrestling superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin.

After the game, Diggs maintained a fun-loving attitude about the celebration, joking with reporters that "I owe someone like $18." Well, he now owes the NFL a lot more than that as the league fined him $13,659 for unsportsmanlike conduct, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Diggs has had quite a few eccentric touchdown celebrations throughout his career. After last year's season opener against the Los Angeles Rams, Diggs was fined over $10,000 for taunting cornerback Jalen Ramsey after a long touchdown. He also got into a verbal spar with New England Patriots fans in 2021, although he avoided a fine this time.

Diggs wasn't the only Bill fined as a pair of defensive tackles received discipline as well. DaQuan Jones was fined $16,391 for a hit on Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in the middle of the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Ed Oliver received two separate fines of $13,659 each, a total of $27,318, for unsportsmanlike conduct, both taking place late in the third quarter.

After a dominant win over their division rivals, Diggs and the Bills will look to keep their three-game winning streak going when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday morning in London, while hopefully avoiding any further fines.
