Bills ‘Cheating!’ Derrick Henry Trade Rumor - Cowboys’ Dez Bryant Joke

How can the Bills end the Derrick Henry run? Simply, Cowboys ex Dez Bryant tells us, by “cheating.”

An AFC East team is being “accused of cheating.”

But, no, this time it’s not the New England Patriots but rather your Buffalo Bills.

And, no, this time it isn’t really serious.

Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is reflecting on our thoughts on the “rumor” that would have the Bills land superstar running back Derrick Henry in a trade with the Tennessee Titans.

Here’s Dez communicating with our Mike Fisher via Twitter ...

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Henry in the same backfield? That’s the “bold” thought put forward by ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington, and we note respectfully of Darlington that while he is clearly speculating here, he’s a guy who handles his job responsibility.

"You want to trade a guy before it's too late," he said. "Maybe they get something. Trade away Derrick Henry to the Buffalo Bills. Just speculating here, but man, that'd be a fun one."

Henry, 29, isn’t exactly falling off a cliff. He remains one of the league's top backs after finishing second in the league in rushing yards (1,538) and rushing yards per game (96.1), first in carries (349) and tied for second in rushing touchdowns (13).

He’s also entering the final year of his contract just as the Titans are making major cap-savings moves.

Buffalo might be a piece away from a Super Bowl, and the Bills haven't had a 1,000-yard rusher since LeSean McCoy in 2017.

Buffalo can avoid paying any price here simply by riding young back James Cook. But Henry has faced the Bills five times in his career and he's totaled 83 carries for 359 yards and seven touchdowns.

How can the Bills end that run? Simply, Dez says, by “cheating.”
