Iconic NFL broadcaster Jim Nantz has to play it cool and objective on the air. But, deep down, we're pretty sure he'd love to see no team in Super Bowl LVIII come February more than the Buffalo Bills.

Gloated Nantz last weekend, "The Bills are the best."

There are reasons for Nantz' "rooting."

Bills Josh Allen and Von Miller surprised the long-time voice of CBS Sports last weekend, showing up for his induction into the Oak Hill Country Club's Hall of Fame near Rochester. Nantz was in town calling the PGA Championship for CBS when the Bills teammates caught up with him.

The surprise touched Nantz, and jump-started his emotions about the Bills in the wake of the team's support for him during a turbulent 2022. Nantz' mother passed away last October, and he struggled with whether to work his scheduled Sunday game - the Pittsburgh Steelers' visit to Orchard Park on Oct. 9.

"Josh reached out to me ... on his own," Nantz said in a video posted by the Bills' social media team. "And when I showed up the booth, the whole management team was standing there in jacket and ties ... to extend their sympathies. It's something I'll never forget."

The Bills Mafia continued the love for Nantz, flooding donations to "The Nantz Center" ... an Alzheimer's research facility in Houston named after his father.

"We were inundated with donations," Nantz said. "It wasn't a handful. It was well over 100 people. I'll never forget that."

Nantz and partner Tony Romo are scheduled to call Super Bowl LVIII on CBS February 11 in Las Vegas.
