Coming into Monday night's game between the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, all eyes were on four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers making his debut for Gang Green.

Unfortunately for the Jets faithful, Rodgers' debut didn't last anywhere near as long as they would've liked. After a sack by Bills pass-rusher Leonard Floyd on the Jets' first drive, Rodgers had to be helped off the field with an apparent injury. Looking at replays, it appears that Rodgers' foot got caught in the MetLife Stadium Turf.

After Rodgers went to the Jets' medical tent, a cart came out to transport him to the locker room. He is officially questionable to return to the game with a reported ankle injury. However, the fact he was taken for x-rays is less than encouraging for Jets fans.

Prior to the injury, Rodgers missed his first pass of the game while looking for tight end Ty Conklin.

Backup quarterback Zach Wilson, the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, entered the game in Rodgers' stead. Wilson has had his fair share of struggles throughout his career, and his shortcomings were largely why the Jets brought in Rodgers. So far, Wilson has completed four of five pass attempts for 39 yards.

MetLife Stadium has become somewhat notorious for major injuries over the past few years. Last season, Baltimore Ravens cornerback Kyle Fuller suffered a season-ending torn ACL against the Jets in Week 1, as did New York Giants receiver Sterling Shepherd in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys. The same fate struck San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa against the Jets in Week 2 of the 2020 season.

Rodgers appears to have avoided any major injury, but the fact that he had to leave at all was very deflated for Jets fans.

The Bills lead the Jets 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.
