Bills WATCH: Von Miller Posts Promising Update, Return Close?

In this story:
For months, the Buffalo Bills have been eagerly awaiting the return of star pass-rusher Von Miller, and now that return seems closer than ever.
The future Hall of Fame linebacker had an impressive first season in Buffalo, recording eight sacks in 11 games. Unfortunately, Miller suffered a torn ACL in a Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions, ending his season and greatly limiting his participation throughout the offseason.
Despite some optimistic updates through the offseason, Miller began the season on the PUP list and thus is out for at least the first four games. On Wednesday, though, he posted possibly the most promising recovery update yet to his Instagram story. In the video, Miller showed impressive burst speed and change of direction on his surgically-repaired knee.

Working on bending the edge & changing directions upfield.
He loads & gets a lot of explosion off R knee, I don’t see any extra steps in turning to change direction.
Very fluid. 1st is regular speed, 2nd is 1/4 speed.
Looks real good. pic.twitter.com/oZJE8mMpWG
Of course, Miller's return is still a couple weeks away from returning at least. The earliest he can return is in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and as Banged Up Bills notes, he is still not quite 100 percent.
That said, Miller getting to a point where he can make cuts effectively is still great news. ACL tears are difficult for any player to come back from, especially at Miller's age of 34, so him returning all should be celebrated.
So far, the Bills' pass rush has been a tad underwhelming with just three sacks through two games. New acquisition Leonard Floyd, who also played alongside Miller with the Los Angeles Rams, leads the team with 1.5 sacks, while defensive tackle Jordan Phillips has one as well. Fellow defensive tackle Ed Oliver has half a sack too, although he has played very well overall. The return of Miller, who tied for the team lead in sacks last year despite his injury, would be huge for the pass rush.
The Bills currently have their sights set on Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field. And while Miller won't be on the field yet, it likely won't be long until he is.
