The Buffalo Bills are apparently looking for some added depth along the offensive line as they hosted veteran lineman La'el Collins for a workout on Friday, ESPN's Field Yates reported.

Collins, 30, has been a free agent for most of this season after his release from the Cincinnati Bengals, although multiple teams have inquired about him. If he impressed the Bills enough in his audition, then he has the chance to join a team getting hot at just the right time.

A former undrafted free agent out of LSU, Collins has spent the majority of his career thus far with the Dallas Cowboys. He started 71 of the 74 games he played for "America's Team" and played multiple positions up front while helping the offensive line become one of the best in the NFL throughout the mid-late 2010s.

After the Cowboys released him in 2022, Collins then signed a three-year deal with the Bengals worth $21 million dollars. He started 15 games as a tackle in Cincinnati, but suffered a brutal torn ACL and MCL late in the season.

With the Bengals signing Orlando Brown Jr. to be their new franchise left tackle and moving Jonah Williams to the opposite side, they let Collins walk in September.

The Bills' offensive line is mostly intact, with all five starters still healthy heading into the final two weeks of the season. Still, more offensive line depth is never a bad thing, and with Collins having 86 starts under his belt, he could bring a great deal of experience to the club.
