"The Greatest" High praise from McDermott for Tom Brady

When it comes to debating who the best quarterback in NFL history is - Sean McDermott has made up his mind.

"He [Tom Brady] is obviously the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. Lot of respect for him and the way he has been able to do it and at such a high level and sustain it. He does a really good job from the line of scrimmage and is incredibly accurate."

Brady has 15 career road wins against Buffalo and, since 2001, has won more games in Orchard Park as a quarterback than any other signal caller in the league - including Bills players under center. Number 12 edges out Drew Bledsoe who won 14 games at home.

McDermott also complimented the duo of Brady and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

"We respect what they have been able to do. I think you do that and if you don't watch and learn from other people, especially people who have been the best, they are World Champs, you are ignorant to a model out there,"

"They have done what they have been able to do, not just against the Bills, but in the division for a long time. They have been good across the league."

It has been a long time.

New England holds the crown for the last 10 AFC East titles.

Yet, McDermott, who has gone 0-4 against the Patriots as head coach, knows his Bills squad has made strides under his tenure to be at a level that deserves respect back from New Engaland.

"As it relates to us, we have moved from where the meter was when we first got here to where we are now. In a lot of ways. That would be a long conversation but mostly by our people, our culture has changed."

In his weekly meeting with the Boston media, Brady noted the changes he has seen in Buffalo since McDermott took over.

“When you look at this defense, I don’t think we played that well last year when we went up there. We didn’t play that well at home when we beat them here. I think they’re good, they challenge you. They force you to make good plays, good decisions and good reads on a consistent basis.”

The Bills host the Patriots at 1 p.m. on Sunday and New Era Field.
