Report: Broncos Re-Sign OT Cam Fleming to One-Year Deal
Cam Fleming is returning for a third go-round in the Mile High City.
On Tuesday, the Denver Broncos re-signed the veteran offensive tackle to a one-year contract. The deal is worth up to $4 million with undisclosed incentives, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Fleming, 30, originally joined the Broncos in 2021 and was brought back on a similar one-year pact last year. The former Cowboy, Patriot, and Giant ended up making 15 starts as injuries wracked both tackle spots. Pro Football Focus ranked Fleming the No. 29 OT among 81 qualifiers, with plus marks in pass protection despite allowing five sacks.
"Fleming has bounced around the league over the last few years but earned a career-high 72.6 grade on a career-high 976 snaps in 2022," PFF noted in March. "The 30-year-old tackle also put his swing-tackle prowess on display, with nine starts at right tackle and six at left tackle, earning grades right around 70.0 on each side of the line."
While Denver has several developmental options on its current roster, Fleming is expected to open the 2023 campaign as the primary swing tackle behind LT Garett Bolles and new RT Mike McGlinchey.
