Broncos Re-Sign RB Tyreik McAllister

Rejoining the room.

Unemployed for all of 72 hours, running back Tyreik McAllister has re-signed with the Denver Broncos, the team announced Monday.

The Broncos waived four undrafted rookies — wide receiver Dallas Daniels, cornerback Darrious Gaines, tight end Kris Leach, and RB Emanuel Wilson — in corresponding roster moves.

McAllister, 25, originally joined Denver in 2022 as a college free agent out of Division II Charleston, competing in training camp before a hamstring injury landed him on injured reserve. He was waived/injured last August and re-signed to the practice squad three months later.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound back was a standout with the Golden Eagles, averaging 7.2 yards per carry while racking up 2,561 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns over 38 games. McAllister added 113 catches for 1,047 receiving yards and four scores.

"McAllister was a do-it-all skill player at Charleston who produced as a receiver, ball carrier, and punt returner," Pro Football Network draft guru Tony Pauline noted in his scouting profile. "He comes with limited upside, and play on special teams will dictate his next-level future."

McAllister rejoins a crowded Broncos RB room — which now features former XFL star Jacques Patrick — and will compete for backup touches behind Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, and Tony Jones.
