Pros
- Extremely elusive as a runner.
- Short area quickness and burst is great.
- Can make himself small through the hold.
- Soft hands.
- Solid routes to work out of the backfield, out lined up outside.
- Quick to make his cut and get upfield.
- Offers up ability on special teams as a returner.
- Quick acceleration to get to his top speed, which is good.

Cons
- Size will keep him from being a feature back in the NFL.
- May struggle between the tackles.
- Might be best suited for a backup role in an outside zone scheme.
- Lacks discipline with his runs and doesn't always follow the flow of the run.
- Will be overly quick to make his cuts and doesn't always trust his blockers.
- Vision is fine, but will leave yards on the field.
- Doesn't force missed tackle, with the 11th fewest among backs with at least 172 carries.
- Struggles to break through contact, and had the second-lowest yards after contact per attempt.
Overview
Jordan Mims is a smaller change-of-pace running back that will be limited in scheme and role. He doesn't have the size to be the bell cow or feature back, but he could develop into a solid rotational piece. Mims has great quickness and ability to work as a receiver, which could lead to multiple ways to be used on offense. However, his best way to stick on a roster initially might come with his play on special teams, primarily as a returner.
Fit with Broncos
The Denver Broncos need to add to their running back room as they have many players with their status up in the air. The offense lacked explosive plays in the running game last year, and Jordan Mims could help with that. However, Sean Payton has made running backs like Mims often work in the past.
On top of what he could bring to help the offense, Mims could add competition to the returner position with Montrell Washington, who struggled as a rookie. Washington was essentially handed the job and needs someone to push him, and Mims is a versatile piece.
