How the injuries to Lock & Fant will shake up the Broncos' roster math

The injury bug is poised to force the Broncos into making some roster decisions they probably didn't want to make.

The old cliche goes, 'the injury bug is no respecter of persons'. It can strike anyone at any time.

If that's the case, the Denver Broncos appear to have a bad case of the Rodney Dangerfields.

Denver has been stricken by the injury bug, with the biggest and most latest hits coming to its rookie class. TE Noah Fant suffered a leg contusion and sprained ankle in the Broncos' 25-14 preseason loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night, while QB Drew Lock badly sprained thumb on his throwing hand.

That's to say nothing of the broken hand undrafted LB Joe Dineen suffered.

The Broncos are now only a couple of weeks in real time away from having to whittle their 90-man roster down to the final 53 guys. How will the injuries suffered in preseason Game 3 affect the Broncos' roster math when the rubber meets the road?

In the video above, I break it down. Suffice to say, there's some good, and some bad implications when it comes to the roster math.
