Broncos' Leading Rusher Signs With Bills

In this story:
Many Denver Broncos fans were holding out hope that Latavius Murray would be re-signed, but that can be put to bed. Murray signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Broncos didn't draft a running back, but did sign two college free agents in Jaleel McLaughlin and Emanuel Wilson. Murray leaving for Buffalo might sting a little, but it keeps the door open for a possible Phillip Lindsay reunion with the Broncos. Unlikely, but possible.
Murray led the Broncos in rushing last season with 703 yards on 160 carries and five touchdowns. His emergence allowed the Broncos to finally part ways with the fumble-prone Melvin Gordon.
If the Broncos get a little luck from the injury bug, they're going to be okay at running back. Javonte Williams' knee injury, however, was a brutal multi-ligament affair, and I wouldn't expect him back until the middle of the football season sometime.
But new head coach Sean Payton wants to run the datgum ball, so the Broncos signed Samaje Perine in free agency to serve as de facto RB1 until and unless Williams returns. Denver also threw a few bucks at Tony Jones Jr.
Combined with the presence of practice-squad guys like Tyler Badie, Tyriek McAllister, and Demarea Crockett, Payton has plenty of horses. But it wouldn't hurt to add one more guy with a few skins on the wall.
