Browns Undrafted Free Agent Signings

In this story:
The Cleveland Browns, having finished with the 2023 NFL Draft, turn their attention to recruiting players that went undrafted to fill out their 90-man roster.
Last year, West Florida safety D'Anthony Bell was able to make the regular season roster as an undrafted free agent. The Browns just signed a former undrafted free agent corner A.J. Green to his restricted tender.
Two positions that stand out as possibilities to make the team include running back, defensive line and safety. Tight end is another spot that might see someone claim a roster spot.
Undrafted Free Agent Signings
Hassan Hall, RB Georgia Tech
Hall led the Yellowjackets in rushing this past year, but whether with Georgia Tech or Louisville, he's never really popped off. A track athlete with excellent speed, Hall offers a speed back that can fit a spread offense with potential viability as a kick returner.
Former Georgia Tech RB Hassan Hall is signing with the #Browns on a deal that includes $125,000 guaranteed, per source.

Thomas Greaney, TE Albany
@Browns y’all got one! @thegreaney13 see you in da city!!🔥🔥🔥

Lonnie Phelps, EDGE Kansas
Phelps is an explosive edge rusher with remarkable strength for his size. Able to convert speed to power, he can jolt opposing blockers. The issue for Phelps is has poor agility and limited hip flexibility.
The #Browns are signing UDFA Kansas EDGE Lonnie Phelps, per source.

Former Utah edge Mohamoud Diabate is signing with the #Browns on a deal that includes $250,000 guaranteed, per his agents @davidcanter and @NessMugrabi

Charlie Thomas, LB Georgia Tech
Former 5-star recruit who was a safety in high school. He might be best served to play in the slot as a safety now and does have experience in that role. Athletic, has experience in coverage and made a ton of plays behind the line of scrimmage.
Charlie Thomas has agreed to a UDFA deal with the Browns, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Ronnie Hickman, S Ohio State
Age: 21 (Born October 11, 2001)
Production: 26 solo tackles, 7 pass deflections, 1 interception in 2022
Hickman didn't test athletically, which is one of the things that hurt him. The perception was that he would not test well athletically and he never got to prove it one way or the other.
Hickman has a strong production profile and he was effective playing downhill and near the line of scrimmage, scraping almost like a linebacker. He wasn't nearly as effective playing backward and perhaps that could see him get looked at in the slot.
The #Browns are signing UDFA Ohio State safety Ronnie Hickman, per source.

Tanner McAllister, S Ohio State
Former corner who made the move to safety. Has corner movement skills and treads the line between the two positions.
Tanner McCalister is signing with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent. https://t.co/WVLLuT11MG

Luq Barcoo, CB XFL
Barcoo most recently played for the San Antonio Brahma Bulls in the XFL. Collegiately, he played for San Diego State and has played in three games in the NFL as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a combination of COVID-19 and injuries. One of those three games was against the Cleveland Browns. Barcoo is 24 years old and is being invited for a tryout.
