Browns QB Deshaun Watson In Cleveland Today For Restaurant Opening

After spending most of the offseason in Los Angeles rehabbing his shoulder, Deshaun Watson is in Cleveland for a special event.

Deshaun Watson has been west coast living for most of the 2024 offseason as he makes his way back from shoulder surgery. On Thursday though, the Browns QB is returning to Cleveland for a special event.

Watson announced via social media earlier in the week that he'll be in town for the grand opening of a new restaurant in Cleveland Heights called "Lefty's Cheesesteaks" at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Other athlete and celebrity guests are expected to be in attendance according to the event description, along with giveaways, live music and entertainment. Watson is an equity owner in the company, is working with CEO and founder, Sam Berry to the first Ohio location of the restaurant. Lefty's is headquartered in Michigan but also has two locations in Florida, with plans for expansion throughout Ohio.

Watson is also expected to remain in town for the shooting of his QB Unplugged podcast that he hosts weekly with his personal coach Quincy Avery. He will then return to Los Angeles to finish up his rehab before returning to Cleveland for voluntary workouts, which begin for the Browns on April 15.

To this point Watson has remained on track with his rehab from surgery to repair a glenoid fracture in his throwing shoulder. The 28-year-old took a key step in his return when he started throwing the football last month. Browns senior vice president of health and development, Joe Sheehan was even in attendance to observe Watson for his first round of throwing.

When Watson shows up for the start of the offseason program he is expected to ramp up slowly as he sets his sights on playing Week 1 next fall.
