Browns-Colts: Stock Up, Stock Down

In this story:
Well, it wasn't pretty, but a win is a win and after a 39-38 win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Cleveland Browns now sit at 4-2 on the season.
Things seemed bleak when Deshaun Watson exited the game in the first quarter after being forecefully planted on the turf and being checked for a concussion. But once again, the Browns defense rose to the occasion in key spots, forcing four turnovers, and backup quarterback P.J. Walker did just enough to keep the Browns afloat.
Here's the Week 7 edition of stock up, stock down:
Stock Up: Myles Garrett
Is his stock ever going down? Probably not, but this week his stock is off the charts, up. Garrett had arguably the best game of his career – or at the very least it will go down as the defining performance of his career to date. Fans are constantly clamoring for more from Garrett, well how about a casual nine tackles, two strip-sacks, a batted ball and a blocked field goal, effort. Is that enough? The man might not be from earth.
Stock Up: P.J. Walker
For the second straight week, it wasn't a pretty performance from Walker. But man, when it mattered most, Walker was poised, and delivered some clutch moments. Most notably, the 30-yard floater he completed to Elijah Moore on third-and-ten with a little over 2 minutes to go in the game. Walker is what he is, but his poise in two unlikely wins deserves some recognition.
Stock Down: Deshaun Watson
Where to even start. Watson was off to a putrid start before leaving due to that forceful hit. One-for-four, for five yards and an interception. A near second interception on that final throw he made before exiting the game. But more concerning is why he was out there in the first place if a single, first-quarter hit was enough to leave Kevin Stefanski concerned about the for Texan re-injuring his shoulder. Like sand through the hourglass, the shoulder injury saga continues for another week.

Stock Up: Kareem Hunt
Due to hamstring issues it wasn't even clear if Hunt was going to play on Sunday, and even once he was declared active no one really knew what his work load would be. Hunt made the most of his 10 carries though with 31 yards and two touchdowns. Once Jerome Ford exited with an ankle injury he became the lead back – something to monitor moving forward. Hunt looks more and more comfortable by the week and the Browns run game looks strong suddenly, even without Nick Chubb.
Stock Up: Elijah Moore
The Elijah Moore run package has been a disaster but credit where it's due, Moore came up big for the Browns in Indy. There was the aforementioned, 30-yard catch on third down in crunch time that kept the eventual game-winning touchdown drive alive. However, with Amari Cooper blanketed all afternoon, he became Walker's go to target and led the team in receiving yards. It's been a slow burn with Moore, but there's some signs of life.
Stock Up & Down: Jerome Ford
Changing the rules here a bit because early on Ford was fantastic, breaking off a 69-yard touchdown run on the third play of the game for Cleveland. Late in the third quarter though, he completely dropped a pitch from Walker on a crucial fourth down play that led to a nine-yard loss and a turnover on downs. It was a costly mistake, and a sign of the growing pains from a young player. Throw in the ankle injury that could have him down for a couple weeks and it was a mixed week for Ford.
Stock Up: Denzel Ward
Ward snagged his first interception of the season, giving the Browns secondary a second straight game with a pick. Ward also had four tackles on the day. Overall, the back end of the defense gets a stock down for some lapses, as they let Gardner Minshew throw for 305 yards on the day. But one bad game won't define their season.
Stock Up: Dustin Hopkins
Back again, and this time he's setting NFL records. Hopkins made three 50-plus yard field goals in the win, one from 58 mind you – which is a career high – and became the first kicker in NFL history to make a field goal from 50-yard distance in five consecutive games. Another AFC Special Teams Player of The Week will be added to his trophy case this week.
