Former Cleveland Browns safety Roomie Harrison will visit the Indianapolis Colts today and will workout for the team according to Jordan Schultz.

Harrison spent each of the last three seasons with the Browns. He originally joined the team during the COVID year of 2020, after being acquired from Jacksonville via trade at the end of the preseason in exchange for a fifth round pick.

Harrison looked very promising and seemed as if he could be our starting strong safety for years to come, after playing a big role on the defense that helped the Browns make the playoffs and win a game in the first round against the Steelers.

His 2021 year got off to a rocky start in the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, when he drew a big penalty for for unnecessary roughness. The rest of his season seemed to go downhill from there as his play never really matched his performance from the year prior and he seemed to have a knack for drawing unnecessary penalties.

His play was undisciplined and struggled to find snaps late in his time with the team and found himself a healthy scratch for games as Grant Delpit would eventually emerge as the starter and future at the position.

The Browns declined to make him an offer after the 2022 season and opted to sign veteran safety Rodney McCloud who has experience playing in Jim Schwartz’s system. A fresh start was best for both sides and we will keep you posted on where Harrison ends up.
