Week 12 Injury Report Casts Concern Over Denzel Ward's Status

The injuries continue to pile up for the Cleveland Browns.

While most of the major injuries this season have been on the offensive side of the ball, the epidemic seems to be creeping into the defensive side more recently.

Just this week the Browns placed veteran safety Rodney McLeod on the IR with a bicep injury. Now as they open up practice ahead of a Week 12 matchup with Denver, a number of McLeod's secondary-mates find themselves out of commission.

Perhaps most notable of them all is star cornerback, Denzel Ward who is dealing with a shoulder injury that is believed to be serious enough that he could be sidelined for multiple weeks.

Along with Ward, safety Grant Delpit did not practice on Wednesday dealing with a thigh injury. His partner in crime, Juan Thornhill was also a non-participant as he continues to nurse a calf injury suffered in the Week 10 win in Baltimore.

The progression of all those members of the Browns secondary throughout the week will be important to monitor. Cleveland has lived by a "next man up" mentality, but as the injuries continue to pile up it will test their resiliency even further.
