Buccaneers Sign Former Veteran Seattle Seahawks Wide Receiver
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had plenty of holes to fill following the end of their 2022 season. Brady retired and with that, the organization made a number of moves to acquire and release players as well as getting some new leaders on the coaching staff.
As with any offseason, there are bound to be changes at certain position groups. For the Buccaneers, it seems as though they had a bit more to do when it came to filling out their roster as a load of players were either released or left during free agency.
One of the Buccaneers' strong suits the past few seasons have come from the wide receiver room. The room is obviously headed by Mike Evans and Chris Godwin with Russell Gage lining up as the Bucs' WR3. The Bucs have had the luxury of luring top wideouts in the league once Tom Brady arrived, but now that he is gone, the Bucs may have a harder time being an attractive landing spot with Baker Mayfield or Kyle Trask at the helm.

This offseason, the notable names that left the Bucs' wide receiver roster came in the form of Julio Jones and Scotty Miller. Jones, who is now somewhat of a shell of what he was, still is on the free agent market and has received little interest across the league up to this point. Miller recently signed with NFC South rivals, the Atlanta Falcons. Both were intricate depth pieces behind the stars in Tampa Bay, so the Buccaneers have much work to do in reclaiming their WR depth entering 2023.
On Sunday, the Bucs made a move that will help with their depth as they signed veteran former Seattle Seahawk wideout, David Moore.
Moore has spent the majority of his six-year NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks. Moore's most productive seasons came between 2018 and 2020 that saw him play in pretty much all of Seattle's games putting up 78 catches for 1,163 and 13 touchdowns throughout the three seasons.
Moore will come to Tampa Bay to compete for a backup receiver spot, per Greg Auman of FOX Sports. Outside of their top-3 guys, Moore will contend with Kaylon Geiger, Deven Thompkins, recently drafted Trey Palmer, and Kade Warner for a place on the Bucs' depth chart.
