Tom Brady Officially Announces Retirement From the NFL
The greatest quarterback to ever play the game has decided to retire - for good.
Tom Brady woke up this morning and has made his decision for his football future. He took to his social media accounts and announced his decision early on Wednesday morning.
Brady kept things short and sweet this time around, while giving thanks to the many people who helped him along his journey: his friends, family, teammates, coaches, and even his competitors. It wasn’t an easy decision for Brady to announce his retirement from the NFL as he clearly was holding back tears as he got emotional as the short video progressed.

Tom Brady will hold the mantle for greatest quarterback of all time with numerous records and stats that will be difficult to break. Brady played a total of 23 seasons, the last three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on his way to 7 Super Bowls, 5 Super Bowl MVPs, 3 NFL MVPs, 15 Pro Bowls, 6 All Pros and accumulated 677 total touchdowns and 89,214 passing yards. He holds NFL records for most career wins, most career passing yards, most career passing touchdowns and was able to make the playoffs in 20 out of 21 seasons as a starting quarterback.
Brady will now enter the next chapter of his life and become an NFL analyst and broadcaster for FOX. As tough as the decision was for him to retire, it seems as if it is the right one. He will go down as the greatest to ever play the game and there wasn’t much left for him to achieve in the NFL. After such an illustrious career he can say he did everything he could.
