Tom Brady on Aaron Rodgers Attempting Early Comeback From Achilles Injury: "I Appreciate His Effort"

Tom Brady gives praise to New York Jets' quarterback Aaron Rodgers for his effort to come back sooner than expected from his achilles injury.

New York Jets 'quarterback Aaron Rodgers was supposed to have a Tom Brady-esk first season when he joined the Gang Green prior to this season, but all those hopes and dreams came to a crashing halt for both the Jets and Rodgers when not even five snaps into the season he went down with an achilles injury.

Normally with an achilles injury, the player will be out for the rest of the season and it can drastically change the outlook of their career. However, Rodgers is determined to write a different narrative when it comes to the recovery timetable of said injury as he is already walking around without a boot and throwing a football just over a month since the injury occurred.

Brady and Rodgers are a couple of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL and the former, on the most recent episode of his 'Let's Go!' podcast, gave major praise to the latter for his efforts to come back from the injury as quickly as possible.

"He's pretty determined to get back and I really appreciate that about Aaron. Some guys I think use injuries as an excuse not to play,' Brady exclaimed. The inspiring part for me when I see a guy like that is it shows you the love of the game that he has. He doesn't wanna miss anything for his teammates. I had that feeling. I know all the great competitors want to be out there every single week.

"I played with a lot of guys that didn't want, they had every reason to try to find a way out of a game and not to play. And Aaron's finding every way to try to get back on the field. And hopefully his team's still in it if he does have a chance. I know it's a tough battle.

'That's an incredible injury that he's trying to come back from. I appreciate his effort. And that's the approach that winners take, is they try to get back out there to get back in the fight with their buddies."

Rodgers went through a relatively new procedure that placed an internal brace in his ankle known as a speed bridge to attempt to come back sooner rather than later and from the looks of it it appears that it may be doing the job.

Rodgers has been seen standing on the sidelines and has even had his input on games whether that is throughout the week in team meetings or with the headset on on Sundays.

When you see the respect between two GOATs that Rodgers and Brady have it is hard not to root for the ayahuasca tea-drinking Rodgers to come back healthier than ever in an attempt to win his second career Super Bowl.
