Former Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins is still on the market ahead of training camp, headlining a star-studded free agency class.

In the The 33rd Team's rankings of free agents still available, Hopkins came in as the best player to not yet have a destination for 2023:

"Arizona shocked many when it released the DeAndre Hopkins on May 26. Hopkins is a four-time All-Pro and a five-time Pro Bowl pick. In 10 seasons — seven with Houston and three with Arizona — Hopkins has 853 receptions for 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns. He likely will sign somewhere else quickly, provided financial terms can be agreed upon."

Rounding out the top five behind Hopkins was Dalvin Cook, Ben Jones, Marcus Peters and Dalton Risner.

Hopkins is in search of two main factors when looking for a new squad: Money and ability to compete for a Super Bowl.

Hopkins hasn't quite had those opportunities playing for the Cardinals and Houston Texans, with little postseason exposure during both stints.

His $19.45 million salary for 2023 was too much for any team to take on during trade talks - which included Arizona. The team waived him ahead of the June 1 deadline to ensure they cleared all of his salary heading into 2024.

Thus far, Hopkins has taken meetings with the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots, though other teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are keeping an eye on the All-Pro receiver.

Hopkins - a veteran who rarely practiced when healthy - likely isn't eager to join a team for the beginning of training camp, so it could still be a few weeks until we see him land somewhere.
