NFL, Cardinals Fans React to Week 1 Loss

The Arizona Cardinals were on the verge of shocking most of the football world before ultimately collapsing against the Washington Commanders in 20-16 fashion.

A rainy day in Landover didn't see much firepower from Arizona's offense, as their only touchdown came from the defense on a scoop-and-score from Cameron Thomas. Matt Prater nailed three field goals to supply the rest.

The Cardinals are 0-1 now, and fans have some questions about starting quarterback Josh Dobbs, who failed to stretch the field and lost two fumbles in the process.

Returning home to face the New York Giants, noise around backup quarterback Clayton Tune will only grow louder.

We wanted to see a competitive team fired up to win and that is what we got. Big kudos to this defense, they showed up!

Overall, the Cardinals' effort impressed after fans watched Kliff Kingsbury fail in that department last season.

Cardinals play hard but lose. Texans look terrible and lose badly.

Josh Dobbs, although he’s never been a starting quality QB, performed exceptionally poorly today.

The defense showed up, Dobbs couldn’t get anything done.

6 sacks for the #AZCardinals and they lose in DC. They only gave up 20 points. Effort shows this team is bought in. The offense only gaining 210 yards is going to be an issue.
