Who is Cardinals Most Underrated Player?

The Arizona Cardinals enter 2023 with fairly low expectations, though there are still some fairly talented names left on the roster.

While stars such as Budda Baker, DeAndre Hopkins and Kyler Murray on the team, often times others can be overlooked - especially if Arizona has as bad of a season as many project they will.

Who could be considered the most underrated player on the roster?

Pro Football Focus says Arizona's most underrated player is Josh Jones.

"Jones became a regular starter for Arizona starting in Week 10 last season, and he finished the season as the second-highest graded player on the Cardinals offense. After a couple of rough seasons to start his career, the former third-round pick took a big step forward in his third season. Jones was one of just 12 tackles last season to finish the year with a 75.0-plus pass-blocking grade and a 70.0-plus run-blocking grade."

Jones has been a versatile piece along the offensive line for the Cardinals, logging snaps at left tackle, right guard and right tackle in the last three years with Arizona.

But what does his future hold?

The Cardinals are currently set to undergo a youth movement upfront, as names such as D.J. Humphries, Kelvin Beachum and Will Hernandez are veterans who could depart as soon as next season.

With Paris Johnson Jr. and Jon Gaines II arriving via the NFL Draft, it's unclear exactly where Jones fits as a puzzle piece, though he's proven he can be used in multiple positions (similar to Johnson and Gaines, for what it's worth).

Jones was drafted by the Cardinals in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft and is set to become a free agent after this year. He will be 26-years-old by the start of the 2023 season.
