KC Chiefs Justin Watson, Jaylen Watson Injury Designations for Week 7 vs. LA Chargers
The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are inching closer to their Week 7 matchup, and each club has a laundry list of injuries as Sunday afternoon draws nearer.
For the hosts, the most notable player that many were keeping an eye on all week was wide receiver Justin Watson. The 27-year-old suffered an elbow injury during last week's win over the Denver Broncos, and head coach Andy Reid later described it as a contusion. Reid noted on Wednesday that he expected the veteran pass catcher to avoid the injured reserve list, although Watson not participating in practice this week was a telltale sign of his potential availability for Week 7.
With that said, there isn't just one Watson appearing on the final injury report of the week and carrying a designation into Sunday's game. Here's the full breakdown of where things stand:

Cornerback Jaylen Watson is a late addition to this week's injury report, popping up with a thigh injury that limited him in practice and renders him questionable for Sunday. According to Reid, Watson got hit in the thigh "towards the end" of practice and was subsequently taken out by the team. Reid didn't indicate that it was a serious injury, but it is enough to cast a bit of doubt on the second-year man's availability.
Elsewhere for the Chiefs, everyone without a designation for Sunday was a full participant in practice on Friday. That includes defensive lineman Charles Omenihu, who is set to come off the suspended list in time to make his season debut. Reid said things are "going in that direction" for the pass-rush specialist to be able to play, also trending positively in the same manner for Mecole Hardman to be active against the Chargers. Both players would serve as valuable depth pieces in a contest with a bitter AFC West rival on the other side of the field.
