Kansas City Chiefs Reveal List of 2023 Undrafted Free Agent Signings

In this story:
The Kansas City Chiefs have invested heavily in the undrafted free agent market, giving out $1.12 million in guaranteed money to UDFAs in the 2023 cycle thus far. That figure is the highest of all 32 NFL clubs, further showing that the Chiefs believe they can sort through the undrafted market for potential future contributors to their team.
On Tuesday afternoon, the team revealed its full list of 14 undrafted signings. Kansas City's tweet is below, followed by a bulleted list of the UDFAs:

- OG Jerome Carvin (Tennessee)
- OT Anderson Hardy (Appalachian State)
- OT Chukwuebuka Jason Godrick (Nigeria)
- RB Deneric Prince (Tulsa)
- WR Nikko Remigio (Fresno State)
- DE Truman Jones (Harvard)
- LB Isaiah Moore (NC State)
- LB Cam Jones (Indiana)
- CB Ekow Boye-Doe (Kansas State)
- CB Reese Taylor (Purdue)
- CB Anthony Witherstone (Merrimack)
- CB Kahlef Hailassie (Western Kentucky)
- S Anthony Cook (Texas)
- S Isaiah Norman (Marshall)
Twelve of the aforementioned 14 players were on the team's initial list of UDFA prospects that came to fruition a couple of weeks ago. Hailassie and Boye-Doe were signed with the arrival of the Chiefs' rookie minicamp just over a week ago. This list of 14 includes five players on the offensive side of the ball and nine defensive depth pieces being kept on the club's 90-man offseason roster.
Expanding on general manager Brett Veach's heavy investment in some of his preferred UDFAs, Spotrac has logged a total of six players receiving six figures in total guaranteed money from the team. Those players include Truman Jones ($236,000), Prince ($236,000), Cam Jones ($150,000), Moore ($148,000), Carvin ($112,500) and Hailassie ($100,000). Taylor and Remigio's total guaranteed figures are $70,000 and $65,000, respectively.
As the Chiefs continue along their offseason journey, these players are effectively low-cost options to serve as competitive depth in organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp. Once training camp and the preseason arrive, the franchise will then get an even clearer look at who may or may not latch on for the 2023-24 regular season. With some spots presumably available at or near the bottom of the eventual 53-man roster, there will be plenty for these UDFA signings to fight for over the next few months.
