The Indianapolis Colts have finalized their 2024 coaching staff

Notable additions include Assistant Defensive Backs Coach Justin Hamilton, Director of Sports Performance Mike Minnis, Defensive Line Coach Charlie Partridge, and Passing Game Coordinator Alex Tanney.

The Colts also announced official title changes for the following individuals: Senior Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Richard Howell and Senior Assistant Defensive Line Coach Matt Raich.

Hamilton, formerly the Defensive Quality Control Coach for the Tennessee Titans, enters his second year coaching in the NFL. Hamilton will help Defensive Backs Coach Ron Milus develop any rookies taken in the draft and young talent at corner like JuJu Brents, Jaylon Jones, and Dallis Flowers.

Minnis comes in with valuable experience from the Philadelphia Eagles, spending the last eight years with the franchise. Knowing Shane Steichen well, Minnis had several roles, which included Director of Performance Nutrition and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Minnis will replace the Colts' former Director of Sports Performance, Rusty Jones, who retired after 34 years in the NFL.

Former Eagles quarterbacks coach Tanney now re-joins Steichen in Indianapolis as the Passing Game Coordinator. Joining an already QB-centric group of Jim Bob Cooter (Offensive Coordinator) and Cam Turner (Quarterbacks Coach), Tanney will help the development of dynamic field general Anthony Richardson. Indianapolis wasn't far off the playoff and AFC South hunt minus Richardson, so if the former Florida Gator can remain healthy in 2024, Tanney could bring experience that he had with Jalen Hurts to the Colts.

New Defensive Line Coach Patridge has talent all across the defensive front to work with. He also brings a wealth of knowledge and success in the trenches on defense. Defensive ends Samson Ebukam, Kwity Paye, and Dayo Odeyingbo all had eight-plus sacks in 2023 and will benefit from Partridge's experience at the University of Pittsburgh. Not to forget, interior names like DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart will also try to build off the 2023 season with Nate Ollie's replacement.
