The Indianapolis Colts have yet to add any offensive weapons from outside the team this offseason but they are doing their due diligence and looking into arguably the biggest playmaker in the 2024 NFL Draft.

According to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers, who is considered the top receiver in the draft by many reputable analysts, will fly to Indianapolis on Wednesday to meet with the Colts on Thursday.

"Nabers will also fly to Indy on Wed to visit Colts on Thursday, per source," Wolfe posted on X. "Plenty interest in the explosive Nabers, considered WR1 for some teams.

The Colts are in the market for more explosive playmaking on offense, and that's exactly Nabers' calling card. He can win on all levels of the field, whether it's getting a short catch and making defenders miss on his way to a 50-yard catch and run or outright beating defenders downfield for a long bomb.

The interesting part is that Nabers is widely considered a top-10 lock, while the Colts aren't on the clock until the 15th pick.

Nabers (6'0", 199, 20 years old) increased his receptions and yardage in each of his three seasons in Baton Rouge, totaling 189 catches for 3,003 yards (15.9 avg.) and 21 touchdowns for the Tigers. He led the SEC in catches each of the last two years and receiving yardage last season en route to a unanimous All-American campaign.

The Colts have Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs and Alec Pierce to lead the receiving corps, and despite Pittman being a Pro Bowl-level player, the Colts don't have any pass-catchers with the playmaking ability that Nabers has.

Recently, Nabers' character has been called into question, so that could be a big reason the Colts would like to bring him in and get to know him, so they can judge for themselves what they think of Nabers' personal and football character.
