The Indianapolis Colts announced on Tuesday morning they had removed defensive lineman Tyquan Lewis from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.

Lewis had been unable to participate in team activities while on the list, but he's eligible to join practice on Tuesday.

He's been a solid contributor for the Colts defense the last five years as he begins his sixth in Indianapolis.

Last season he played in just seven games, but started four and accumulated 14 tackles and a sack. He has 70 tackles and 9.5 sacks in 16 career starts with the Colts.

The Colts also got good news when cornerback and second-round pick JuJu Brents joined training camp after recovering from offseason wrist surgery.

It's unlikely that either will see action on Saturday against the Buffalo Bills in the Colts' first preseason game. However, their addition to camp is a positive sign that both players will be ready for action by Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 10th.
