The Indianapolis Colts brought free agent running back Kareem Hunt in for a visit on Wednesday. Not long after it was announced they had offered him a contract but had not come to terms, they announced the signing of running back Jason Huntley and tight end Ricky Seals-Jones.

Head coach Shane Steichen is familiar with Huntley from his days in Philadelphia. Huntley was originally a 5th-round draft pick of the Detroit Lions in 2020, but he never played a game in Detroit.

He played five games for the Philadelphia Eagles as a rookie in 2020 and saw action in one game in 2021. He got 18 carries for 70 yards in 2020 and 2021 for the Eagles.

Huntley spent 2022 and parts of 2023 with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a member of their practice squad.

Ricky Seals-Jones is a jumbo wide receiver / tight end at 6'5 and 243 pounds. He played college at Texas A&M and joined the Arizona Cardinals as a receiver in 2017. He moved to tight end in 2018 before moving to the Cleveland Browns in 2019.

Seals-Jones spent 2020 with the Kansas City Chiefs and 2021 with the Washington Commanders. The New York Giants signed him in 2022 before releasing him with an injury settlement.

His best season was his second-year in Arizona when he had 34 catches for 343 yards and a touchdown. He had a solid year with the Commanders in 2021 with 30 catches for 271 yards and two touchdowns.

To make room for Huntley and Seals-Jones, the Colts waived-injured tight end La'Michael Pettway and safety Michael Tutsie. If Pettway and Tutsie clear waivers, they will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve list, according to Indianapolis Colts Communications.
