The NFL Draft is less than two weeks away, and Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay couldn't help himself but to tease NFL Fans on the Colts' strategy.

"For the '23 draft, we have many options," wrote Irsay on Twitter. "With the #4 pick, we could stay put and take a QB—-or trade up and take a QB—-OR trade down and MAYBE take a QB—-Or NOT All options on the table, but we like our position and are very excited. Fire up!"

Irsay's look into the Colts draft plans on April 27th was to keep all options open. It's long been assumed that Indianapolis would get a quarterback with their first pick, whether that's their current No. 4 or if they make a move.

General manager Chris Ballard hinted at Shane Steichen's introductory press conference that the Colts could trade down in the draft, but he quickly followed with a remark along the lines of breaking social media.

Last week Mel Kiper Jr. had the Colts staying at No. 4 and getting the fourth quarterback taken in the draft in Kentucky's Will Levis. Bryce Young went No. 1 overall to the Carolina Panthers followed by C.J. Stroud to the Panthers, and the Tennessee Titans jumped the Colts for Anthony Richardson at No. 3.

There have been rumblings in Houston, owners of the No. 2 pick, the Texans might not necessarily take a quarterback giving the Colts more options with the No. 4 pick.

The NFL Draft is a poker game as teams wheel and deal to give themselves the best options for their team. Poker is bluffing; bluffing is lying. It's the lying season, so any rumor or chatter should be examined for ulterior motives.

The Colts and Irsay should have a plan in place by now, but plans change by the minute with the NFL Draft. Irsay has simply said the Colts are comfortable with their position and have a variety of options.

That might be the truest thing we hear about the NFL Draft the next two weeks.
