Colts to Host Freak Athlete QB for Pre-Draft Visit

In this story:
The Indianapolis Colts are heading into a new era for the franchise. For the first time in five seasons, the Colts will look to get consistency at their signal-caller. It’s been thought that they would address this through one of the quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft.
A name that has continuously been matched to the Colts is the University of Florida’s Anthony Richardson. It should then come as no surprise that Indianapolis has scheduled Richardson for a top-30 visit, per NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.
Anthony Richardson has top-30 visits in April scheduled with Panthers (pick #1), Colts (4), Raiders (7), Falcons (8) and Titans (11), per sources.

Richardson is in Gainesville this week ahead of his Florida pro day Thursday, final of top QB prospects to make their pro day mark.
With the addition of new head coach Shane Steichen, many analysts and experts have said Richardson could likely have success and develop quicker. A huge criticism of Richardson is how raw he is from an experience level. At Florida, he only played a handful of games and didn’t have the coaching stability around him to learn at full speed.
However, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was also critiqued for having poor accuracy and mechanics coming into the league. Well, we all saw how effective Hurts is controlling an offense now and how accurate he’s become through working with Steichen. It’s not hard to imagine that same scenario could happen down the road for Richardson in a Colts uniform.
There is still a month remaining until the NFL draft ensues. The Colts have their biggest decision to make in over two decades. Will the next quarterback be the dynamic Richardson? It’s too soon to tell for now.
